We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with YouTube in launching the EduTuber Accelerator, a groundbreaking program designed to empower educational videomakers. Teaming up with Changer Studios, we aim to provide emerging creators with a transformative twelve-week experience, connecting them with industry leaders and resources to enhance their impact.
Selected participants will benefit from personalized guidance from a distinguished panel of industry experts, including Derek Muller of Veritasium, Rene Ritchie from YouTube's Creator Liaison team, and Dean Kowalski, YouTube's Strategic Partner Manager for Learning. This accelerator program is a testament to YouTube's commitment to nurturing a vibrant creator community and supporting educational content.
Electrify Co-Founder Ian Shepherd said that the program will use a broad definition of EduTuber. “A creator could be teaching math or science, showing people how to change a tire, how to grow vegetables in their backyard, how to do a kickflip, how to draw, how to start a business, or sharing the intricacies of Ancient Rome’s political personalities,” Shepherd said. “If you are educating others through YouTube videos then this program is for you.”
Changer Studios, renowned for its innovative curriculum development, spearheads the accelerator's educational framework. With a track record of successful partnerships with YouTube, including recent workshops and events such as a YouTube Shorts workshop in Melbourne and a pop-up space in Montreal, Changer is dedicated to empowering creators and fostering creative communities.
